"They wanna know who did it
but the answer's really us see,
i don't know you why do you wanna know me?
you ain't getting what you want
unless you're gettin' it for free"
PEOPLE SAY THEY LOOK A LOT LIKE... TAYLOR MOMSEN
Delilah stands at a good 5'9" tall, her long legs take up the majority of her height, and she is often described as having "never-ending legs". She is naturally thin, one of those annoyingly skinny people who can eat pretty much everything they want and still retain a good figure. Though, the girl used to do Pilates and aerobics so that has helped her to retain her slim frame. She no longer does as much excercise as she used to, however her legs and arms still retain a small amount of muscle.
The woman has white blonde locks of hair, that is naturally a light brunette, which falls in curls to just atop her bust. Her fringe consists of shorter tendrils that frames her heart-shaped face. She has azure eyes that can turn icy in some lights. Overall, Delilah is an extremely attractive women.
Throughout her years, her dress sense has changed significantly although she has always retained a slight edginess to her clothing. Nowadays, Delilah has a brilliant mix of designer pieces, vintage finds and high street clothes. Her favourite brands are Marchesa, Alice + Olivia and Christian Louboutin (of course) but she can also often be seen in Dolce & Gabbana, Versace, Valentino and Alexander McQueen. Of course, there are several other designers however these are those behind her favourite items.
Delilah has a collection of various different clothes: leather jackets, band t-shirts, sunglasses and shoes. She probably has around five different leather jackets, at least two t-shirts for every old classic rock-band (the Who, Pink Floyd, Led Zeppelin etc.), too many sunglasses to count (the majority being Ray-Bans) and probably around fifty different pairs of shoes. Now Delilah's shoes could have an entire novel just about them. Her highest pair are 7 1/2" though these are very rarely worn nowadays and only kept for sentimental value (each shoe is her child). 90% of her collection are heels, around 50% of that number having an iconic red sole. Shoe shopping is her happy place, so whenever she gets homesick another five 'children' are 'adopted' by the young woman. Yes, she struggles to find places to keep them.
Delilah also owns a lot of jewellery. She owns a multitude of necklaces that she often layers over one another, several different bracelets and a lot of rings. Some even have names such as Cartier, Tiffany and Bvlgari attached to them. However, there is one item that Delilah never lets leave her sight and is permanently on the ring finger of her right hand- her mother's black diamond engagement ring.
BUT WHAT LIES UNDERNEATH THEIR SKIN?
There is no one word to describe Delilah, but many have tried. Her parents would tell you that she's "crazy"- in a good way of course, her uncle a "leech", though the most accurate probably comes from her friends, that Delilah is "fun", "free-spirited", "reckless" and "dynamic". The latter probably describes her the best. There is no one set personality for the young woman. Although, Delilah is most often a nice, caring person. She doesn't go looking for trouble (at least not in that sense) and although she doesn't always have a smile on her face doesn't mean she isn't happy. Of course, her moods can change quite quickly depending on who is talking to her and even what they say. If you say one wrong thing she can go from being jokey to harsh in an instant. It's not that she is easily offended, because she never takes any insult to heart unless it is said by someone she really cares about- Delilah just doesn't like to "take crap from anybody".
Now the other words that are used to describe her are also rather true. Delilah is reckless and free-spirited. She doesn't really like to abide by the rules and often sets up her own. She knows the boundaries and often likes to go to the very edge of them without crossing them. Of course, occasionally she does cross the line. She can get caught up in the moment and go beyond that boundary. A few times Delilah has ended up being spoken to by the cops, but it never goes further than a little warning. She uses her looks to her advantage and also her acting skills. She can cry on cue and it comes in useful.
Delilah's "crazy" side just comes from the fact that she's always doing something. She can't sit still and always has to be doing something she likes. Boredom is her vice. When Delilah gets bored she'll get irritable and will often lie on the sofa flicking through TV channels and ending up throwing the remote because she's still bored.
Delilah is an extremely loyal woman. As soon as you gain her friendship you will be her friend for life. Of course, as soon as you cross into the friend (or more) boundary you're fucked. That's when the filters come off and you truly see who she is. She's still a lovely person but she's honest and doesn't ever think. Of course, she does realise sometimes that the words that come out of her mouth could come across as a little harsh and she'd immediately start apologizing. You just have to take her with a pinch of salt.

THIS WORLD HAS SHAPED THEM
Marcus and April Valentin didn't think they'd ever have children. It wasn't that they couldn't, they just never felt the need to bring another life into their world. They were happily married- and had been for seven years- and living a life that some could only dream of. The couple had vast wealth, a beautiful penthouse apartment on the Upper East Side of New York City and everything they wanted. April even hosted her fair share of charity events. From the outside, they were a perfectly good couple but they shared a secret: the money was not honest, fair from, for Marcus and April were con-artists and they were extremely good at what they did.
It was late February when April found out that she was expecting. The couple were in Barcelona, managing to acquire a vast sum of money from a very rich man, when the wave of morning-sickness hit. It took a week of thinking it was food poisoning until April finally allowed her husband to call a doctor. Pregnancy hadn't even crossed the young woman's mind until the man had asked her if there was any possibility. One test later, Mr and Mrs Valentin would be having to contemplate what colour to paint the nursery.
April's pregnancy was a difficult one of which she suffered hyperemesis gravidarum or, as it's more commonly known, severe morning sickness. For a short period of time she was even hospitalized in order to get nutrients through an IV due to the severity of her condition. Though, by week seventeen the sickness finally subsided and April was once again able to go about as normal.
It was the thirteenth of September when Delilah was finally brought into the world. The couple had decided not to find out the gender of their baby- and so the nursery was painted in tones of cream to keep it neutral- and although Marcus had secretly been hoping for a boy he fell in love the moment he saw his daughter. And although he had no idea on what to teach the girl or how on earth he was going to connect with her, he knew he would buy her the world. Something Delilah would later abuse.
Having a child didn't stop their criminal ways. If they were taking trips, Delilah stayed with the nanny, Merissa, but where most of their 'work' took place in the city Delilah was soon learning tricks from an extremely early age. The young girl knew instinctively that she could not speak of what her parents did- and she didn't.
Whilst Marcus and April were away, Delilah would sit and listen to her father's rather extensive vinyl collection. Forever going back to the Beatles. Music was in her heart and soul, something that the nanny picked up on and told her parents. That was the start of the young girl's love affair for music. She came home from school one day and found a beautiful grand piano in the living room, where a sculpture had once been. An acoustic guitar was also sitting on a stand in her room. She had a tutor for both but Delilah- being the demanding child she was- soon felt that her teachers were bringing her down and thus they were dismissed. Delilah taught herself. Her singing tutor that was called in when she was seven lasted an hour. She didn't like Delilah to be singing tracks by the classic rock bands that she grew up on, the young girl fired the woman herself and when she went to laugh about it to Marcus? The man told her that her daughter was in charge, and that she really was dismissed.
Her more spoilt ways stopped when Delilah came home from school in a fury of rage after another girl refused to let her go on the swings at elementary school. Even the excessive pocket money her parents gave her hadn't helped. That girl was known as Katherine Wright and after that day Delilah found something she hadn't known- respect for another person who wasn't her parents or nanny. The pair quickly became friends and Kate managed to knock out any growing brattiness that Delilah had.
The more years that went by the more Delilah dedicated herself to her music. That was when she met Luke Archer. He'd been playing the guitar in the music room when she was in Junior High and although she'd seen him around she'd never known he played. He had skills that far surpassed her own and they'd instantly clicked when he noticed her eavesdropping. Delilah gained another friend and he introduced her to two more: Matthew Dale and Alec Devall.
When Kate was introduced to the guys she bonded just as easily as Delilah had. Soon the five were inseparable. If you saw one of the group then it was likely that the other four weren't far behind. They did everything together- partied, hung out, even ditched classes. It was a circle of friends that the young girl needed. She even went as far as marrying Alec- on facebook of course- as they had such a strong bond. Some thought they were dating but their relationship was totally platonic. Neither felt even a hint of romantic attraction toward the other. It turns out she had far more of an attraction to Matt and the pair soon started dating. They were even dating through to High School though broke up half-way through Freshman year but it was on good terms and they remained good friends.
Now Delilah was fifteen, her parents thought that they could involve her more into their 'work'. She had an input in cons and was often working behind the scenes. Her parents made sure she was never seen by any mark or nothing ever pointed to her involvement. It was their insurance policy, in case anything happened to them then their daughter wouldn't go down also. Marcus and April made a wise move as when Delilah was sixteen, the FBI came to their door.
Delilah had been sitting in the living room with her friends, them all playing with the new maltese puppy, Bowie, that her parents had gotten her when the knock came. Her parents were in the kitchen making lunch and everything was normal. Delilah had gotten up and answered the door. She'd freaked out when she realised what was going on. A memory that still haunts her. Her father had hugged her and her mother had kissed the top of her head, taking off her engagement ring and placed it in the young girl's hand. "I'll be back soon, 'Lilah, I promise you. Be good for Merissa okay?" and she'd nodded.
That was when shit went down in Delilah's life. She lived at home with Merissa for a short while but it was evident her parents were going to go to prison for a long time. Word started to where she was going to live and who with when the trial was over. Of course, Delilah kicked up a lot of shit. She'd recently turned sixteen and was adamant that she was able to live on her own. Her parents? They disagreed entirely. Delilah argued that Merissa could keep an eye on her but that was unfair of the women due to retire in a year. With no grandparents, the next of kin was Delilah's uncle on her mother's side: Charles Hunt. Although she'd known him well when she was little, he'd moved to England and she'd only since seen him around Christmas time.
The trial ended with Marcus and April being found guilty of charity fraud and serving seven years each in prison. All of their possessions were to be auctioned off and the money raised would be used as compensation. Even Delilah's own prize possessions were to be sold. She'd managed to fight for as much as she could but many items were lost to the girl that day. It only fuelled more of the resentment she had about moving to England. Not to mention the fact that she wasn't able to bring Bowie, the little girl went to live with Kate and soon became her best friend's dog.
Her friends had given her a giant going-away party. They'd hired a club and somehow, they'd even managed to get alcohol in the place. It had been a party that no one would forget in a long time. Delilah had gotten extremely drunk as had everyone else- so drunk in fact that she woke up the next morning in bed with Matt. A secret that they still haven't told anyone to this day.
England was a shock for Delilah. She exchanged her last to years of High School for sixth form, where she was only allowed to continue four subjects. She chose her favourites- music, english literature, textiles and drama. Although these were classes she generally quite enjoyed she refused to let her uncle know. He'd torn her away from her friends and she'd refused point blank to let anyone else into her life at school.
Delilah hadn't meant to turn into such a bitch but she had. She demanded a lot from her uncle, whether it be clothes, musical instruments or fabric. She'd even gotten him to get her bookings into a recording studio to create an album for her music class. Now that had been some fun. She'd spent so much time just perfecting this record of hers- it was something that she had taken so much pride in and as soon as it was finished she'd gotten one copy printed- with album art and everything. It was when she was listening to the album- front to back- did she realise that she had to let go of the resentment she had toward her uncle. It wasn't his fault that she'd ended up in Caerleon. Of course, it didn't happen overnight but by the time she was eighteen and had finished school then she had stopped being such a bitch to her uncle.
Delilah had always planned on returning to New York when she was eighteen and legally an adult however on her birthday she went out- legally able to drink in the UK- and not wanting to move again she moved the date when she was twenty-one. Though, the one thing Delilah wanted was to move out of her Uncles place. She didn't like the fact she had someone to answer to. Especially them being a member of her family. She started to look for somewhere new to live but every time it's been wrong for her. She's still hunting and is determined to move out by the time she reaches twenty-one. Delilah's just extremely critical of everything in her life.
